D.E.A.R. Programme, 2024

‘A Writer only begins a book. A reader finishes it.’
-Samuel Johnson

On the occasion of National Reading Day, we the Naflites, read as a school to pay homage to P. N. Panicker, the pioneer of the Indian library movement. We had our own DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) programme, which is a celebration of reading designed to remind everyone the importance of reading as well as creating a sense of togetherness as a community. The tranquility and the greenery with the chirping birds on the assembly ground was a matchless experience that took the students, teachers, and everyone into the magical world of reading. At NAFL, the DEAR programme indeed is a dear event that everyone looks forward to as it leaves its mark with a renewed determination in making reading a lifelong habit.
