Field Trip - Sericulture Farm

The students of Grades 5 to 8 took their own silk route to the VSSPC silkworm seed production centre in Devanahalli, on Thursday, 20th October 2022. The farm representative guided the students through the entire process of breeding silkworms for commercial purposes. Students learnt about the different species of silkworms and the varied temperatures at which they are stored and further processed. Students had a wonderful experience where they saw nature come to life and practically witnessed the life cycle of silkworms.
