Independence Day, 2022


‘Freedom in the mind, faith in the words and pride in our souls’, let us salute our nation as we celebrate 75 years of Freedom.

We, at NAFL North celebrated Independence Day with great pomp and vigour across all divisions and grades.

A profound celebration of flag hoisting to ingesting music, dance and art came alive filling everyone with the true spirit of independence.

We proudly stand with ‘Azadi ka Amrith Mahotsav’ an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 glorious years of progressive India.

The programme started with Ms. Sabita Loyce welcoming the gathering of parents, teachers and students. The comperes of the day, took the audience on a time travel back to our freedom struggle. The Ceremonial practice of unfurling our national flag was done by our Principal, Ms. Hemalata Pillai followed by a motivational speech on achievements, proud moments and also reminding everyone of their duties and responsibilities as citizens of this great land. She also spoke about the campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.

The cultural programme put up by the students of the Drama Club was an amazing show. The ‘Azadi ki kahani’ a mime presented on the lives of the Freedom Fighters and their struggle was astonishingly beautiful and thought provoking. Various other programmes of group song and dance also added to the fervour of the day as music, dance, colours and unity in diversity have always been the soul of our country.

The National anthem sung in unison inspired everyone to be more responsible towards our motherland. The programme concluded with Ms. Preeti Menon rendering the Vote of thanks to one and all present for celebrating our Independence Day with such zeal and enthusiasm.

May the tricolour of our beloved nation always fly high in Glory. Jai Hind!
